I got in touch with my tattoo artist, Laurel. Hoping to get my Thursday Buddha sometime this year. HooWoo!!!
When I woke up this morning, I thought to make Guyanese dumplings, called duff (which I didn’t know) to go with the oxtail stew from yesterday. Well, it was mostly a fail because I used cake and pastry flour and probably the wrong type of brown sugar, so when I put them in the water, they fell apart and got mushy – it looked like porridge. Then André told me to try steaming them and wouldn’t you know … that worked, but they still didn’t turn out as I remembered – I will try again soon with the right stuff.
I spent several hours looking for a suitable case and screen protector for my iPad. I also tried to get a drafting table-type device because I cannot draw for very long when looking down. With the drafting table, you can choose your angles, and it makes for a better arting experience – Elevation Lab was the first one I heard about on Bardot Brush, but they’re sold out so I’m still searching. I think the ergo keyboard I bought will work with my iPad too; I already have a mini keyboard that’s easily portable, so I don’t plan to buy a keyboard unless I have to. I’m looking to do all creative work on the iPad because sometimes, I do work-work instead of creative-work when I sit at my laptop.
