Sun Feb 14:
How did you spend your Valentine’s Day?
Woke up with an entire poem in my head. It just bled from my hand onto a page of the little black book I keep by my bed. I write, therefore I am. I create, Therefore I be.
I left my bed around 11:00 am, grabbed my iPad, pencil and art book – I planned to chill out and draw for the day, but then I noticed the kitchen was a mess. I ended up cleaning and cooking – I made a new batch of Thai condiments, and I seasoned pork jowl in a yummy Thai lemongrass marinade – I cannot wait to eat it tomorrow.

I’ll let you know how it turns out, but both the sauce and the marinade taste soooooooooo good. Convo with André:
“Mom. Where are the batteries for the scale?”
“Um.”
“Why do you even buy things! Let me know when you find them. If you find them.”
The art of losing isn’t hard to master – One Art by Elizabeth Bishop. One of my all-time favourite poems. I wonder why? 🙂
I went to the store because I ran out of limes for the nam pla prik and I ended up buying two cakes (chocolate and vanilla), chips and ice cream – Valentine’s celebration with Me! Well, Dee wanted chocolate cake and I went overboard as usual. While I was outside I found myself wondering, “Why is my head so cold?” Then I remembered; but it wasn’t as cold as I thought it would be so that’s good. I wonder if my head will get too hot in the summer?
Love where you’re at, and keep your dirt on the surface! – Allen Stone
