Fri Jan 8:
I bought The Hot Sauce Cookbook – I land on page 55 to Pepperpot and Barbecue, and then I saw Guyana – I love cookbooks with history!
“The Arawaks lived in villages and had a communal style of cooking. The game they killed ended up in a constantly cooking stew pot. The stew, flavoured with peppers and the cassava preparation, called cassareep was called ajiaco or pepperpot!

OMG! My mom cooked with cassareep all the time AND made pepperpot over Christmas Holidays! I can make sriracha! I’m hoping to retrain my taste buds by eating more savory/spicy dishes! Which I think is possible and I won’t crave sugar – I’m doing a 180! (there’s no science behind what I’m doing, only my madness!)

About a year ago, my sister asked me to babysit my nieces, and I said something like, “Ewwww! No! I don’t want your children with their sticky fingers in my house!”
Of course, I didn’t realize how horrible that sounded until months later (I can’t remember how I came to the realization!), but I never apologized. I did today. And she told me not to worry about it because she gets me! I hope you have people in your life who get you and love you just because! Sometimes I make a lot of noise and Dee will tell me to Shhhh! I like to scream or be loud for no reason!
BTW: I still have messy preschoolers – my doorknobs are sticky, and I’m still wiping food off cupboard doors and walls. Boys! SMH!
BTW2: What do you call a dog in the desert? A hotdog! (From Wallace, Glowbee’s big bro!)
