Life and Me!

Sun Jan 10:

I don’t have much to say. The fish tank still needs cleaning.

Every word is getting a squiggly underline and I’m wondering, “what’s wrong with this thing!?” Then I remembered I had switched to a Japanese keyboard earlier today because … I started writing my poem in Japanese. It’s taking way longer than I thought. Even though I’m using the phonetic spelling, sometimes the hiragana characters don’t look right. And I realized I don’t know enough to make, what would be considered, proper sentences in English. This will be an interesting poem – and even thinking about words is fascinating.

When I was thinking about what to say, I could think of the words in Japanese, but when I sat down to write, I was writing English sentences! When I’m done, I will Google Lens the Japanese version and see what it translates to. I’m loving this exercise! Plus, I’m not sure yet if it’s easier or harder to think of rhyming words in a different language – I feel like it might be easier because I don’t know too many words.

“Mom! Look at this!”

“Mom! Look at this!”

“Mom! Look at this!”

“MMMMMMMMMOM! LOOOOOOOOOK!!”

“André, leave me alone PLEADING PLEASE! I’m trying to write!”

“No Mom! Look! It’s quick!”

“No! It’s gonna be stupid!”

“Ouch! That hurts!”

“MMMMMOM!” I turn around 😐

He gets down on all fours, hands and feet, butt sticking up in the air. He kicks his legs out behind him, returns to all fours then standing and says,

“Quick right!” We laugh!

I think we both enjoy tormenting each other!
