I had the best day that I’ve had in a long time. It was so shockingly lovely to see Jer Nye the Science Guy and my boss again. (one day, I will talk to you, and you won’t know anything I’m saying cause the whole thing will be my made-up words and phrases – prepare yourself, cause I’m not even going to explain anything to you.)
Sabs loaned me her car, I’m thrilled I didn’t have to take the subway, but next time I go into the office, I will leave early to avoid any congestion, both ways. When I was blasting my music and looking for parking, I saw my boss on the corner. He jumped in the car and directed me to a parking slot :). I think I’m cartographically challenged. I feel like I knew my way around at some point, but now I get lost easily.
Our new office space is excellent, and the building lobby is all spacious n windowy n shit! Definitely nicer than our old office buildings. Yo! My boss lost a tonne of weight, likely without even trying, and I’m fuckin’ struggling! Please! Don’t even you dare bring up the gummies, and chips and bubble tea and straight sugar sniffin’ I be doing … from jar to table. Sometimes I carry a bag of sugar with me. Only a couple grams, just enough to get me through the day. Diet has nothing to do with my inability to achieve my fitness goals. lol.
The bestest part of today? Aside from seeing the guys … we went for lunch. Hooray!!! Victoria came along and we sat on the patio. Man, it felt awesome – food and drinks with friends. And I even got a hug (I hope the COVID police isn’t listening). Jer’s hair is down to his shoulder and really suits him. I got compliments on my hightop Vans. Thank you! Thank you! BTW – Jer agrees with my doctor that I have a cyst (there’s a particular name for it), and it’s likely because of the workouts I’ve been doing – He had it before, and it showed up on his dominant hand too.
Our corner store has new owners. I like the other guys better. Snap judgment, I don’t even know the new guys. They didn’t even say goodbye! It’s kinda like, waking up and seeing some guy in your bed and you’re like, “What the Fuck!?!? Where did you come from? I was expecting to see Adam!” I welcomed the new owners to the neighbourhood.
Dee assembled Matt’s gaming chair for me. It came when he was still at school so it worked out well. He got a surprise when he went in his room – he was speechless, then he came to give me a hug. 🙂
Sometimes you know you miss something, but you don’t realize how much until you get the opportunity to do it again. My desk is all spiffified and ready to go the next time I’m in the office.
