Fri Mar 12:
I passed my MoCA test – 27/30. I lost points when I had to remember five words between answering many other questions, including subtracting seven from the difference, starting with 100. i.e., 100 -7= 93 -7=. etc. … The testing lady said it is up to my doctor on what to do next but informed me that many things could affect your memory, including lack of sleep, depression, anxiety, certain meds.
Anyyay, I’m happy. My island is coming along – I changed my skin colour from dark brown to light purple – I like being purple. Do you think if I were purple for real, people would love me and want to keep me as a pet or hate me and want to kill me because they blame me for everything from weather to economic catastrophes? (both options are awful, Plus dark purple and pastel purple people will also take issue with me) “It’s because of the light purple one! There it is! Get your stones and torches and axes and anything that can cause tremendous damage.” I will go back to being Black; at least then, no one will want me as a pet.
I read an article in NYT on Egyptians sporting their naturally curly hair, ranging from tight coils to wavy, but not everyone is doing it. I love the fact that I can literally wash and go, but I don’t know how a potential partner will accept me – I think it will be harder for me to find dates. At the same time, I have no intention of growing it too long or relaxing it again. I’d rather stay single.

Many several gummy bears and worms today I ate. Then I fell asleep and woke up feeling ewey-gooey gross. I decided to give the other three bags to the kids to hold for me – André was like, “What the hell, mom!” I don’t think I will see those gummies again. It took a lot of courage for me to give them away. I just had a moment of weakness while at the grocery store that will add inches to my waistline and remove years from my life. (sigh). I would like some ice cream and soda and chips right now. (sigh) I bought a huge salmon fillet, I will cook it tomorrow with cauliflower rice and kale slaw on the side.
Even though only a few people participated in the survey, I received some valuable information, and I put the responses where everyone can see them, leaving out names, of course.
