Woke up before the birds started singing – 4:45 am and I had a pep talk with my brain, “Listen you little shit! Don’t fuck with me today cause 🎶 I, oooh I, I got work to do. I got work baby. Yeah I got a job baby 🎶 I am very happy that all my deadlines are self imposed right now – brings the stress level down a notch. I am not doing any client facing work, which kinda sucks but that might be a good thing for now. I love working with clients though, even the demanding, annoying AF ones. Normally I work around client schedules anyway so if I was doing client facing work I’d be ok. Some days I feel so fucked up I’d need a keg of Red Bull by my desk to stay focused and awake – 🎶 Chuggin’ while I’m workin’. Chuggin’ while I’m workin’. 🎶
… But still. Music aside. Consistently, my most productive hours are in the early morning, even if I wake up at 3:00 am, I can get shit done. Including when I am having the worst day, I can still sashay a few productive hours in the morning. 95% of the time I’d say. Then the other 95% happens at night. Ain’t nothin’ wrong with my math bitch! Shut your whore mouth!
Today I worked from 5:00 am till 1:00 pm completed some more SharePoint reorg stuff and I worked on my presentation. Hooray!!! technically, I’m a day late. Next Monday, when I start to feel like crap, I will try the pep talk and see if it works. Mondays are my worst days, so it’s the best day to test.
I napped from two to four then Dee bought ramen – I didn’t have any pork belly or egg – It’s not as yummy, I will try to make a fish stew ramen for myself one day – I’m certain there’s something out there. Oh BTW – I found a Japanese Salted Salmon recipe but I have to get to the liquor store for sake. Salted salmon might taste good in pescatarian ramen.
After dinner, Dee, André and I went for a walk and we played handball and a few other games for like forty minutes. Then this stupid mosquito and his whole family was annoying me. Only me! They weren’t bugging those guys. Now I feel like they followed me home and they’re flying about in my nose and ears. Thirteen degrees isn’t warm enough to play handball, so it shouldn’t be warm enough for pests. After a while our hands were stinging like we got injected with box jellyfish venom. I still had fun and the walk was refreshing.
I’m seriously thinking about getting While True: Learn () but I want to see if there are any other comparable games first.
