41° In The Shade

Well … I’m still alive. Only to endure it again tomorrow. Unfortunately. I absolutely hate the feeling of sweat running down my back for no reason. I’m not exercising. “WTF Sweat! You ain’t got nothin’ better to do!”

Would you rather burn or freeze to death? I choose burning, only cause the smoke would make me unconscious first. I hope.

Do you think you’d like to be an elevator mechanic? These new-fangled shaft dwellers are sophisticated. Is elevator music a reflection of elevator mechanics’ personality? I wonder!

OFFICE SPACE WITH A VIEW

Today I moved a bunch of stuff into our new space – it’s just down the hall but the view is much more excellenter. I’m happy I got to sit where I wanted, it’s the same spot I used to stand in to look out the window before we moved in. And there’s a cozy little alcove right behind my chair – it feels good to sit or stand there – I feel safe.

I moved all the stuff to the window sill, which is not close to where I wanted to sit, because I didn’t want to seem presumptuous and claim a spot before Bossman decided. I was stressed about it, and he said, all nonchalant, “You can sit anywhere.” Bastard! BUT, I’m glad I waited because I would have been bummed if he said I couldn’t sit there after my entire being got attached to the spot.

As you know, I let the weather and peoples’ reactions to my imaginary conversations stress me out.

HOME COOK AGAIN

Today I thought about cooking. But I refuse to do everything on my own like before. If the boys are interested, we will meal plan, shop, prep and clean up together. And if shit starts going sideways, like elevators coming out of their shafts, I’m gonna scream and say my last prayer before we hit the ground.

I want to restart because I haven’t been eating goodly. When I used to cook, I ate waaaaay more vegetables. And I love vegetables. I’m not a big salad fan, but if Dee makes a salad, I’ll eat it. Her salads are complex – with different flavour, colour, and texture layers.

Hopefully, this way too, the kitchen will remain clean.

Do you remember my all-time favourite vegetable?

Okra!

Bestest Vegetable In The Galaxy (AKA Lady Fingers (I think))

I also love broccoli, cauliflower, all cabbages (including napa that’s in most kimchis), broccolini, rapini, swiss chards, leeks, garlic, onions, spinach, collards, shallots, kale, bok choy, French beans, bora, zucchini, carrots, fennel, asparagus, arugula.

Celery, eggplant, snow peas and Kerala AKA bitter melon are ewwww.

I love vegetables more than fruits. Obviously 🙂

MISC. FYEYES

I’m looking forward to setting up my desk tomorrow and moving the rest of our stuff out the other room.

Are you really sure that a floor can’t also be a ceiling?

M. C. Escher

Whenever the skinny pigs are really loud, Matt tells them to shut up and I feel bad for them. Thursday him and Dee are going to the Rage Against The Machine concert.

My girlfriend whom I met at my last job contacted me today and suggested we go to Burlington Beach to hang out. Planned for August.
