Fri May 7:
Sometimes I live in the past – I just changed my last two posts from April to May. Sorry. Glad I didn’t confuse you Smarty! 🙂 Today I learned that I am not a gardener. I like low-maintenance plants (and people). I have a snake plant and it’s been growing strong for about two years – regardless of my (in)attention.
A Bad Romance got me out of bed dancing – I haven’t listened to Lady Gaga in ages but that song was in my head when I woke up this morning. Yesterday I had Ethiopian food for the first time. Today I had it for the second time. I loved everything except the injera (bread). I ate my leftovers with sweet rice and all was well with the world. BTW – I cannot spell Etophia properly!
Made it to the storage unit this morning – took some pics and a vid. We can definitely downsize – it’s up to the Powers to decide. I UBERed both ways cause the location isn’t convenient and I didn’t want to have encounters with lots of beings or the muffin man (he scares me). When I got home I went straight to bed – enough excitement for one day. I woke up around 1:30 pm intending to get to work but I was still tired so I took the afternoon off. Our CFO is out of the hospital. Right now he is at home smelling the flowers and hugging his abacus.
This AI app has improved my awareness – it is getting easier to rewrite my sentences – even when I am not using the app. But sometimes I like to keep my filler words. I also enjoy looking up the origins of words and using words/phrases out of their original context when I am thinking about what to say and how to write it. 🎶 Say, say, say, what you want but don’t play games with my affection. Take, take, take. what you need but don’t leave me with no direction. 🎶
It took a day or two for me to realize that I probably ate mayonnaise with my beyond meat burgers. I’ve tried lots of vegan mayos and they all make me want to vomit, BUT that was years ago – maybe someone’s improved on the recipe.
Matt: If you make a will, what am I getting?
Me: All my love?
Matt: But I have that already.
I stare at him.
Matt: Don’t I?
Me: Do you?
You should watch Rare Exports: A Christmas Tale (2010)

Austin Kleon’s “Show Your Work” is great also!
