Song in my head then on Spotify then I’m outta bed:
🎶 Any day now, I will hear you say, “Goodbye, my love.” And you’ll be on your way. Then my wild, beautiful bird, you will have flown, oh. Any day now, I’ll be all alone. Any day now, when your restless eyes meet someone new. Oh, to my sad surprise.
Then the blue shadows will fall all over town. Any day now, love will let me down. And my wild, beautiful bird, you will have flown, oh. Any day now, I’ll be all alone.
I know I shouldn’t want to keep you, if you don’t want to stay. Until you’re gone forever, I’ll be holding on for dear life. Holding you this way. Begging you to stay. 🎶
Any Day Now – Chuck Jackson
Mom loves this song. And Patsy Cline, as far as I can remember, was her favourite country singer. You might know that already. How long ago did WordPress have a Spotify block? I don’t recall using it before.
Lunch and after-work drinks were great, except … someone was sipping really loud, BUT I think all the other noise in the restaurant dampened the sound. And our conversations distracted me from the mouth noise. Thank Goodness.
I believe I am getting better at refraining from saying unacceptable or inappropriate things during meetings (although I find the things necessary and/or hilarious) … Same for unsuitable or improper stuffs during recreational settings …
“Brah! Why the FUCK are you sipping so loud!” And I don’t think he was drinking anything hot. I am not going to say who it was, in case you ever meet him – but he knows who he is if he ever happens across this post.
Yo! His beverage ended just in time; cause I was fittin’ to stab him in his jugular with my fork.

In retrospect, I always wonder if I’ve done/do things to irritate people, and they didn’t/don’t mention it? At the same time, I don’t need to correct everyone about everything right? After all … he is not MY partner. I don’t have to live with his loud sippiness. That would definitely be relationship and/or life ending. BUT if it happens again, I’m gonna tell him – cause you only get one chance to irritate me Sippy!
Long ago, I saw a French movie. An old guy met a young woman and he was so in love that he found everything she did as pretty as she was. A few months down the relationship road, however, her … drinking out the milk bottle while her dirty feet were propped up on the dining table wasn’t so cute anymore – even if she was half-naked and milk was spilling onto her perky boobs. Then when he would get irritated, she couldn’t understand why because it didn’t seem to bug him at first.
OPINION: Be honest with yourself and the people around you. But … I am learning that knowing when to hold your tongue and when to speak up is just as important. Because not making people aware of the behaviours that bug you do nothing good for the relationship. Of course, if it is a one-off thing, use your judgement.
I could listen to loud sipping when there are many other noises around once a year only! After that, you may proceed with the knowledge that your death is imminent! Live dangerously as/if you like!

Before Matt’s 7:00 pm play, Ruminations At The End Of The Void, I went to SabDee’s ABB, saw pics from their Jamaica trip then we took the subway to St. Patrick Catholic Secondary School. Those guys were laughing at me because I didn’t realize that was my old high school until I sat in the auditorium.
Those guys wanted to go out to eat – but that wasn’t in my budget. I was ready to go straight home. However, I forgot my phone at the ABB, so I headed back there and then went home.
BTW: The Bloor Annex area is lovely. And where they are is just walking distance from the subway. Did you know that there are 158 neighbourhoods in Toronto?
