French Fries, Pastels and Creases Suck!

I’m glad Rogers must provide a detailed explanation to CRTC on outage last week. Maintenance my assbutt!

No sleep last night. By 3:30 am, I just said “screw it” and got out of bed to get ready for work. Poems and all my other evening curriculars will have to wait. Unfortunately. Jer didn’t come in the office today and Bossman was busy. Me had lunch all by meself. My favourite French fries didn’t taste the same without co-workers/friends to share them with. I’ve never eaten those fries alone. And I never will again … maybe 🙂

I’ve decided to take the Org Transformation courses. Not sure when I will start though. Maybe I will complete the first one before the end of summer.

CATNIP TEA AND ART

I was ready to jump in my bed when I got home, but I had two more hours of work left – I enjoy coming home early though, the TTC sucks during rush hour. Off rush, it runs just fine. Which makes no sense to me – wouldn’t you want to be most efficient when you have the most volume? I can get downtown or home in under 40 minutes sometimes. Otherwise, it’s about an hour, hour fifteen.

Sometimes people just seem to do shit backwards to me. Or … am I the one that’s off the rails?

Did you know that you can make tea out of catnip? Apparently, it’s good for aches, digestive issues n headaches, n stuff. That’s what it says on the package. I’ll let you know how I feel once I’ve tried it. Cats drink tea right? Maybe I can share my nip tea with the neighbourhood zombie cat … I will have to find him first. We can have tea with hotdogs and broccoli. Those are his preferred items.

Today I learned that pastels do not blend good. They’re kinda like crayons and so far, my least favourite medium, right down there with watercolour. AND they make my fingers feel icky. BUT by the time I was halfway through, I was learning how to work with it better. I have another book that tells you what medium and paper the artist used, which is helpful. I also learned that having a crease in the middle of your artwork sucks – like French fries.

Let’s hope I sleep tonight. If I don’t, I probably won’t go to the office as early, maybe get there for around 10 am.
