Recently I fell out of a tree
While on the ground
I had a profound epiphany

In and out of consciousness
I awoke on a high-flying trapeze
Without a harness or safety net
Speaking Cantonese
(probably screaming, “Get me down please!”)

But the Mandarin oranges didn’t get me
Hanging on cause I wanna live
I couldn’t sign, had no signals to give

They left me and went about their business

Epiphany:
Mutually unintelligible shouldn’t be exclusive
