I do not want to win prizes
Although they would be wonderful surprises
I just want to be appreciated and recognized

That is not a contradiction 
But I realize recognition can turn into an affliction
Similar to a drug addiction

So, I guess I need to clarify
For what kind of recognition would I die
 I'd revel in a "Thank you. Your poem Such and Such got me through."
