It's easy to tread lightly
When floating around upside down
With a heavy heart and a brain that is numb
This life shit keeps slapping me sick
All out of cheeks, wishing I was nonstick
Overwhelming self-doubt, can you please get out
Barring that, though, still not ready to plateau
I'm curious and kind
Possessing a strangeness that's all mine
With basic instincts intact
I'm set for the world, as a matter of fact
Yay! At least on a good day
Silence isn't golden, and talk doesn't have to be cheap
I won't follow the flock like sheep
And I hope my poems stir something deep
My lines aren't lullabies to help you sleep
This wasn’t meant for the world initially, but I changed my mind after it was done. Then I decided I wanted to present it like a page in/from a diary. I hope you like it!
