It’s Sunday Again

I dreamed my Hinge notification was off. I got up all freaked out and rushed to check, but it was on – like everything is/was on. A depressing revelation. I was thinking of turning it off then waiting a few days, opening the app and being surprised by the many contacts. (that’s not likely to happen, but you never know.)

Seeing as nothing’s happening in my love life and it’s poetry month, I’ve been sitting around busting out poems. I got a late start on the one-poem-a-day thing, so I have been trying to catch up. I might have two or three remaining to get to twenty-one.

Also, I am revamping my website with assistance from the kids. (It seems they’re good for something after all.) Matt is leaving for his NYC Broadway Drama trip early in the morning, and as of 8:30 PM, his suitcase is still empty.

Dre said, “I’m happy you can’t draw yet. People don’t need to see what’s going on in your head.” I, on the other hand, can’t wait to show you. Writing is wonderful! I wouldn’t give it up for anything, but drawing from my imagination would take things to another fantastic level!

By the way, I finally got that paperback margin and pdf bleed shit right – my book is live on Amazon, yo! I wanna change the title, but then I’d have to go back and edit the damn pages and some of the content. I’ll give more thought to my title next time – coming up with a name was difficult because it’s a collection of poems, so it was hard for me to decide, but I’m glad it’s up there. Dee helped with the cover page, and I’m proud of the photos I selected for the inside.

I know what I’m publishing next, and I’d love to illustrate it myself – Dee offered to help. Anyway, I hope you had the kinda weekend you wanted. Life is good but I’ll still be crying into my pillow tonight! FYI.
