Pickets and Pets

How come whenever there’s loss of appetite for a sickness or medication, I never lose mine? All week, I’ve had a craving for McDonald’s hotcakes. I feel fat!

Zoe follows me around for treats now – as soon as she sees me, “Hey treat lady.”

“That’s not my name.”

“Stop walking away from me.” Then she’d circle my feet, stand on her hind legs, whip out her Fair Treats for Pets NOW sign and start chanting, “We want treats. We want treats. We want treats.”

“Who is ‘we’ Zoe? Archie and the rats aren’t protesting.”

“I speak for those who cannot speak for themselves. We want treats. We want treats.”

“Fine.” I gave her the treats, and for now, the chanting stopped, and the picket sign went away.

🎶 They call me Stacy. They call me her. They call me Jane. That’s not my name. That’s not my name. They call me quiet girl but I’m a riot. Mary-Jo. Lisa. It’s all the same. That’s not my name. That’s not my name. 🎶

Unfinished – I think this is Kensington Market area

I’m excited for Monday. (Hmmm. I can’t believe I just said that.) I get my booster shot in the morning then back to LaFit in the evening. Yay! I already miss my trainer.

Good night! I hope you don’t have to deal with protesting pests/pets.
