Hidden – Discover One Word Prompt

I am vulnerable to my sensitivity.
That may be why anger,
sometimes seething rage,
is my go-to emotion.

Whatever comes before it,
I push it down and away.
Remaining stoic.
It is exhausting to feel it all.
Anger is safe. Masculine.
I used to wish I wasn't so sensitive ... but now,
I pay attention. I value. I cherish.

  1. I feel you. I was like this for so long. But no more. We r taught that stoicism is strength. Women just as much as men. Why do we fear emotion. Why are we allowed to love or be happy and not cry? Why is one emotion more accepted than another?
