It snows and rains and snows and rains.

Yesterday while drawing my elk I realized I wasn’t following any of the rules, capturing the gesture and/or drawing basic shapes. I am not going to forget those rules but if they prevent me from moving forward with whatever I am trying to draw, I will throw those rules right out of my head.

I shouldn’t look at them as rules, maybe they are guidelines or best practices. Doesn’t matter. Whatever they are, I will trash them if they induce feelings of frustration. This is creative work, not work\work. I have lots of elbow room and time to learn. If I remained focused on learning the parts and terms of poems before writing; hmm … where would I be!

Notice Anything?

Yay! Figured out how to use my paper towel to avoid smudges. I need to work section by section instead of moving all over the page. And I didn’t get any ink on my fingers either. The crown looks like a cake which is cool because when they get tired of being Majestic they can eat cake.

Moose sound like injured cows. If a cow is dying and no one is there to hear, will it still sound like a moose? I’m into animals with horns. They are sublime. I’d like to have elk horns but everyone would think I’m strange or evil. I wouldn’t be able to wear tee shirts anymore.

Elliot Moose is on the loose
Elliot Moose is on the loose

Elliot, Elliot, Elliot, Elliot
Elliot, Elliot, Elliot, Elliot

I’m Elliot Moose I like to play
And with my friends I’ll play all day

Elliot, Elliot, Elliot, Elliot Moose

Theme Song

And BTW: For the new year, I will be living and working in Moose Jaw, Sas-ka.

Tomorrow is my sister’s birthday!
