Celebrate – Jibber Jabber Prompt

Today was difficult and infuriating
I didn’t feel like celebrating
Then I thought about something
A particular food that I love eating

Good-looking and bright green
The most beautifulest vegetable I’d ever seen
Oh Okra where have you been
I will dress like you on Halloween

I was having the worse day. Then I went looking for something to eat. I boiled okra in saltwater, sat down to eat and immediately started feeling better. Then I knew what I was going to write about.

    1. Thank you! Some people don’t like okra because they can get slimy. The way I reduce that is by cutting them when dry.

If I am frying it, I will wipe them with a paper towel then chop them up, wiping off the knife periodically as well. When boiling or steaming, I rinse them off and throw them in the pot whole.
