Frosted Bullets

Frosted Bullets
With poetry and cupcakes
I convince myself everything is fine
Going out
Dressed to the nines
Each teardrop becomes a bullet
But the trigger
I cannot pull it

My lover is a bandit
Stole my heart
Crushed it

With poetry and cupcakes
I convince myself everything is fine
Gunpowder sulphur permeates
The metallic tang hits my tongue

Sweet nothings say less
It's hard to express
With a bullet in your chest

Poetry and cupcakes
Champagne and reuptakes
Who am I kidding
Fine isn't convincing

Heart racing nineteen to the dozen
Standing on the shore
Thinking of going in
But killing myself would be a sin

Everything is a catastrophe
This is how life plays out for me

Love the title. This lover should be charged with heart break in and entering and should be sentenced for life in therapy.
