The Theory of Us

The Theory of Us

Meant to be, this love is
The string theory of everything
We vibrate unified — Mythic
Sacred symmetry
Metaphysical. Spiritual
But … also controversial
Like emergent gravity

Drawn into your orbit
To stay, only for a while
With you this way
Even when you no longer notice
On reentry
It was a pleasure to burn

Thank you, Punam and the dVerse team! I decided to end on opening line #2, “It was a pleasure to burn.” from Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury.

Good to see you at dVerse, Sam.
Excellent imagery and that line worked so well with “Even when you no longer notice
    On reentry”.

This is such an effective extended metaphor, Sam, especially ‘this love is / The string theory of everything’ and ‘controversial Like emergent gravity’.
