Happy VD! No one says that right? VD could mean all kinds of things, most commonly venereal disease or vaginal delivery. Both of those are occurring somewhere today, I’m sure. I probably tell you this at the same time every year; Dee was supposed to be a Valentine’s Day baby but she said, “Fuck that! I’ll come when I’m ready bitches!”
I might have done something to my arm cause it hurts more than it did and is in different spots from the initial injury. I still use my fingers and arm to do things … like
- Put on deodorant, headphones, and clothes
- Support my big ass phone
- Hold jars so I could open them and
- Move stuff by resting them on my arm, right above my thumb and forefinger.
I will ease up if it hurts, but Dre said, “I don’t think you’re supposed to use that arm for anything.” A few days later Dee said the same.
I’ve been doing a consistent job at intermittent fasting and staying in my calorie range over the last few days but I haven’t been moving nearly as much. Last Thursday to Saturday night I fasted. Broke my 69 hr fast with bacon and rice at about 9:00 pm.
For the first time in forever, I slept from about midnight to 8:30 am. Same for Sunday night, but I woke around 6:00 am. Last night I didn’t sleep very well, maybe because I had three vanilla Oreos BUT still stayed in my calorie range of 600 – 1000 calories per day. When I work out, I eat a bit more but only a few 100 cause I wanna lose weight.
I know I’m supposed to eat breakfast, but I usually have to force myself. On a typical day, I don’t get hungry until after 2:00 pm but you’re supposed to have lunch at lunchtime and dinner at dinnertime. Right! I’ve given the double middle finger to tradition; now I fast for 23:1 eating in my calorie range from 9:00 pm to 10:00 pm.
It’s only been three days and I feel good. I hit my sleep goal two out of three nights that’s pretty amazing. Also, I’ve drastically reduced the amount of sugar I consume. Three Oreos in five days! Unheard of! I picked late nights to eat because that’s usually when I crave everything and when I’m likely to overeat.
Of course, it’s easy to do at home. I need to keep it up in the real world around people who will tell me I’m crazy and encourage me to eat. I have to navigate around lunch/dinner dates and office parties. It hasn’t been very long but I hope I found what works for me.
BTW: I am happy Kansas City won the Superbowl because, during the pre-game place your bets gambling period, everyone picked Philly Eagles.
BTW2: There’s a gozen restaurant in my neighbourhood with a VD special menu – 160$ per person.
