Honeymoon

Let's act like we are still in love
Just be the man I thought you of
Kiss me like it was our first time
And remember being mine all mine
Say you still want me as your wife
(and I'll say ...)
Goodbye to my lonely married life

Take a walk down memory lane to recall our honeymoon phase, and let's
forget about our current apathetic, passionless, contentious and just ...
plain undesirable life. As husband and wife. Going through the motions of a kiss
Or an incredibly awkward touch. You couldn't hate me so greatly. We're on autopilot lately. Then and
now, I believe we'll make it. Somehow. Our best cannot be behind us. Please say
you are ready to try. I'm sure we can beat the odds. Please don't say goodbye

This is a golden shovel but I used a line from a song instead of a poem. Nothing says I can’t. First at the beginning, then at the end. Just cause I wanna 🙂 The song is Kiss and Say Goodbye by The Manhattans. You should listen to it. You might get a new song to add to your “liked” list 🙂
