Journal Entry – Tue Nov 24

My Hyken mesh chair made TechCrunch’s list of gifts for people working from home 🙂 Perfect because our clinical officer gave a presentation on ergonomics at home during today’s town hall. I plan to get wireless ergonomic keyboard and mouse soon. After the town hall, our office manager/HR/finance lady emailed me, saying, “You seem very happy the last couple of days 🙂 ” We exchanged a few emails and both wished we could have our Christmas party 😦

Aside from André mandated pushups, which are killing my triceps in the right way, I haven’t been doing any other training. I’ve been thinking about what I enjoy, so I pulled out my jump rope – I will bring it to London.

Did you ever play double dutch? My brain refused to coordinate my legs in that manner, but my hands worked to turn the ropes in different directions while singing (I can’t remember any songs right now).

Dee is busy watching gift idea videos on YouTube. André doesn’t want to keep Avery, his ball python, anymore, but he should be fine while we are away. I have a second plugin timer that can be used to turn the lights on and off. Plus, I feel maybe he’s conflicted because he went to PetSmart, bought food, but didn’t ask about dropping off the snake. smh.

I’ve already set up the timer for my fish and the auto feeder – I did it early to work out any kinks. Kink 1, I didn’t set the clock, just the times I wanted the lights to go on and off. Kink 2, I set the times wrong for a 24hr clock – but we’re all right now. (and both times I blamed the device, like “why isn’t this stupid thing working!?”)

My only concern is the plants – the basil isn’t going to survive the month – I decided to remove the leaves and prep for freezing. Then I trimmed it. Hopefully, I can bring it back when I return. I could also walk it, do you think plants enjoy a change of scenery?

You should download the Google Expeditions app to go on AR/VR tours.

Oh yeah – 🎶Peter, Peter, pumpkin eater. Had a wife and couldn’t keep her. Put her in a pumpkin shell, and there he kept her very well.🎶

I wish that was my backyard!
