When gooseberries and goosebumps fight
The whole world lights up in affright
Bumps and berries fly everywhere
They might even land in your chair
And they’re hard to get out of your hair
All the mammals, including the moose
From an ocean whale to a barnacle goose
No one was free or footloose
And in order for there to be a truce
They banned every drink
Except, gooseberry bump juice (GBJ)
For years, GBJ was the only drink
It also came out of the tap at your sink
Over time, everybody got sick
You’d be too if GBJ were your only drink
Then one day, they made a decree
No more fights between bumps and berries
That decree is about to expire
And we all know what will transpire
Why they’re fighting isn’t a mystery
Let me share with you a bit of history
The next time you look at your skin
When you’re cold or afraid of something
You’ll see bumps where berries should have been
