To be or not
Isn’t the question
Rather … I must ask
Who am I to be
With all the rights
“Man” has bestowed
Upon decorative paper
Polished and noble
Lovely to behold
Can I choose
To be whatever I wish
Whoever I want to be
Yes! Theoretically
In a world
where odds are stacked
Playing fields are not flat
Hoop after hoop … The Acrobat Act
When rights have yet to permeate
As practice. I must ask …
Is the choice entirely up to me
