Fatal Flaw

A friendly coyote in a suit shakes hands with a curious jackrabbit wearing a blue dress in a forest setting.

Once upon a time, in a land not so far away. A Jackrabbit was jumping, going about its day. Out of thin air, a Coyote appeared, convincing the Jackrabbit to stop and chat about this and that.

Just when the Jackrabbit was ready to depart, the Coyote said, “Would you mind if we continued this chat over a snack!?” The Jackrabbit stepped back.

Sensing hesitation, the Coyote produced a soothing smile. With a once-over of the Coyote’s uniform reassurance and extended paw, Jack agreed.

An adorable cartoon Anaconda wearing a hat stands in a river alongside a capybara wearing snorkeling gear and swim shorts, both looking friendly amidst a tranquil, nature-filled background.

In a realm adjacent. An Anaconda named Antonio was daydreaming about capybara ceviche, roasted to perfection. Luckily for him, capybaras were snorkelling nearby.

Moms and Dads always warned their babies to stay away from anacondas, but Antonio was a river ranger.

With an authoritative flash of his badge and a surreptitious “Psst!” Antonio caught Chico the Capybara’s attention.

Certain he’d found a new friend, Chico left his family and swam over eagerly.

A possum in a blue dress reading a book in a tree with a koala, while a quoll in a ranger uniform looks concerned about wildfires.

Meanwhile, in the Woodland Dimension. Among a grove of eucalyptus trees. Bindi the Possum read a story on Aboriginal Identity to her Joey.

When suddenly, with a tone of officiality, A Quoll yelled to the Possum, “Come down from that tree. Wildfires are spreading rapidly.”

Bindi sniffed the breeze for smoke. Then she looked down at the Quoll with an “Are you sure?” “Yes! Yes! Let’s go. The winds are shifting, don’t you know!”

Afraid that she may wait until it’s too late. Bindi closes the book. Tucked in her Joey, then left the tree. Willingly.
