Grammarly’s plagiarism check is bullshit – sometimes it works, and sometimes it doesn’t. If I copy the entire text, it might alert me. I guess partial wholesale stealing is not plagiarism after all! Yippie!
Done am I, on writing anything truth/true related for the rest of the year – although I find all discourse on the subject fascinating. Truth as it relates to justice, personal realities, memories, relationships and everyday communication. And the opposite of that – lies and deception. (and I am captivated and possibly equally repulsed by all things dark about human nature – a separate topic).

Shakespeare examined the topic. I especially love S138 – the contradictions, and at the same time, this poem makes me sad!
When my love swears that she is made of truth,
Shakespeare – Sonnet 138
I do believe her though I know she lies,
That she might think me some untutored youth,
Unlearned in the world’s false subtleties.
Thus vainly thinking that she thinks me young,
Although she knows my days are past the best,
Simply I credit her false-speaking tongue:
On both sides thus is simple truth suppressed.
But wherefore says she not she is unjust?
And wherefore say not I that I am old?
O love’s best habit is in seeming trust,
And age in love, loves not to have years told.
Therefore I lie with her, and she with me,
And in our faults by lies we flattered be.
Do you remember Apology by Plato – even Honesty by Billy Joel and many, many others. So maybe I will write about it again if I feel the need unless my paranoia gets the best of me, and I suspect I might be repeating myself! Which I suspect I already have – but in this case, confirmation will be worse than thinking it. Maybe I shouldn’t care about that too much, but … let’s move on!
A while back, I wrote a few poems that had pictures – some I traced. Ultimately, I want to do my own illustrations, but now that I am using Canva – I started again, putting pictures against my words. And I will continue until I don’t want to anymore. It’s nice to have something other than a white background to look at – IMO.
AND … when it is time for me to post to IG, I already have the pic ready – unless I decide to choose something else. BTW – I’m only posting once a week on Tuesday – that works best for me.
