Memorable Moments

I hung out with Dre for many hours today – we talked and talked. We walked and walked. We ate and ate. Of all the things I can spend my money on, I love going out to eat – connecting with people over food brings me joy.

I also love buying books, getting tattoos and tech stuff. I’ve never liked spending on clothes, furniture and other household items. Sharon enjoys spending her money on vacations.

Yesterday, over lunch, Jer reminded me that paramount to anything else, it is essential to remain my genuine self; and once I am that person, nothing else matters.

🎶 And the cat’s in the cradle and the silver spoon. Little boy blue and the man in the moon. When you coming home, dad? I don’t know when. But we’ll get together then. You know we’ll have a good time then.

Well, he came from college just the other day. So much like a man I just had to say, “Son, I’m proud of you. Can you sit for a while?” He shook his head and then said with a smile, “What I’d like dad, is to borrow the car keys. See you later, can I have them please?”

And the cat’s in the cradle and the silver spoon. Little boy blue and the man in the moon. When you coming home, son? I don’t know when. But we’ll get together then, dad. We’re gonna have a good time then. 🎶

Cat’s In The Cradle – Harry Chapin

This damn sonnet is going to put me in my grave – maybe I will publish it as a desonnet. Oh! And also yesterday, I learned from Bossman that an artist created “Alien” before the movie. I always thought the xenomorph was created for the movie. Check out H.R. Giger.

Over several days, a week or two ago, I thought about one of my friends. I probably hadn’t spoken to her in over a year, maybe more. Then yesterday, out of the blue, before I left for the office, she What’s App’ed me. I told her she was on my mind, and she replied, “Yeah. I got the message.” 🙂

I love you Mom! I hope you’re enjoying the music! (I will tell you the story behind that another day).
