I saw this ad a few weeks ago on YouTube from Mindvalley – They said people have different sleep cycles, and everyone doesn’t need 8-10 hours of sleep. I feel I am one of those who don’t require much sleep – I think I only need about 4-5 hours per night. (there’s supposed to be a quiz, but I can’t find it 😦 )
When I mess up my cycle, it’s because I am pulling all-nighters. Why? I don’t even know. I have all this pent up energy, and I can’t settle down. A few years back, I also found an infographic on famous people and their sleep patterns. (This isn’t the one I remember, but went searching just for you https://disturbmenot.co/bizarre-sleeping-habits-of-famous-people-infographic/) – this one is cool cause it is broken out by career.
I love taking quizzes – I only recently stopped buying Cosmo magazines, but I remember they always had short quizzes – I loved discovering things about myself.
My routine is all messed up, so technically, I don’t have a routine. Tomorrow is Canada Day – I don’t plan to go outside. I will cook, maybe. Chill out on my balcony with some iced chrysanthemum tea and hopefully get my writing mojo back.
If your partner ever says to you, “You’re worth more to me dead than alive.” Please don’t ignore it. Women are good at pushing aside the red flags from their gut. (well maybe everyone ignores their gut but this true-crime show, Who the Bleep Did I Marry features mostly women.)
Did you know that the microbes in your gut have the intelligence of a dog? There are tens of millions of nerves in there. Some even call it your second brain. And scientist types think your brains communicate with each other. Also, what we eat, like the health of our gut, can influence our mental health. (btw – microbes may not be the right word – sorry)
I collect info from all kinds of sources over several years, I re-think it and re-frame it, and as I get new/updated information, I find new ways to apply it. I see or try to make connections between unrelated things. I get strange looks when I try to explain what’s going on in my head – I will give up, unless I feel it is super important, like work-related stuff.
I think I got that gut intelligence thing from a documentary, or it could have been something I read. Anyway, it doesn’t matter. You can look it up for yourself if you are interested.
Those gut feelings you get are real. Don’t dismiss them.
In watching Ru Paul’s Drag Race, I remember the first time I met a drag queen – I was a teenager coming home late one night from a party, and he was in the building elevator. I was hanging out at my girlfriend’s sister’s place at Sherbourne and Bloor in Toronto. Last summer, I hung out in The Village with a few friends and went to a few clubs – one of them had a drag show.
I started eating Brisling sardines straight out the can again – I lovingly throw them on my plate, add fresh lemon juice, lemon zest and finely chopped green onions. (another quick meal of mine). Green onions as garnish always make your food look pretty. Green onions on rice, on bacon, on hot dogs. Yum!
Queer Eye episodes always make me cry – They have a number of episodes (or a different show) where they are in Japan.
I don’t think I use brackets right. 🤔
Happy Canada Day! xoxoxox
