    I really enjoyed reading this. I wonder if you think the Brits normal fayre is as peculiar as yours purports to me? ;-D

      The Brits are peculiar regardless (jk). Both words are unusual but for different reasons. With fayre, it is a matter of spelling, whereas yours is like an apostrophe. (I hope that makes sense :))
