Sitting at my desk
Waiting for inspiration

Not being able to write
Is a horrible situation

I sit in the kitchen 
A change of location

Then the almond cookies
I knew I shouldn't buy
Started a conversation

"Perhaps inspiration
Doesn't come from your desk
It comes from sugary medication
Try us and see what happens next"

They noticed my hesitation

"Sweet treats will
Stimulate the imagination
To writing, we admire your dedication"

I said I'd eat just one
But I kept waiting for words to come
And what do you know...

Of a six cookie flow

I am in love with these Farm Boy Almond Crunch cookies. When I saw them, I said, “Do not put those cookies in the cart!” Maybe they convinced me beforehand that I had enough self-control to eat just one.
