Telling my truth
Reclaiming the complexity
Of my intersectionality
Acknowledging my roots

I actively defy 
     Being framed by your blueprint
     The vestiges of your colonial constructs
     Your anti-Black sentiments—
     Treating my Blackness as an impediment

I will remain
LOUD
UNSHRINKABLE

Never giving in to your
"What about me!?"
White sensitivity
Fear-mongering fragility

     Waxing woe is me

As if we cannot coexist 
Equally
