Freeing
Obsessive
Restrictive
Vindictive
Patiently
Love gnaws
Persistently claws
Ripping away
My sense of self
Quietly
I relinquish agency
To be one with you
I accept this destiny
Blood angel, duty calls
Release me

The poem articulates the complexity of love: its capacity to unite and transform, as well as its potential to cause loss and suffering, leaving the reader with a sense of ambivalence about emotional surrender and the search for personal freedom.
