Drowning in desolation
Invitations to parties 
With loneliness 
My only guest
Divided by an ocean
From your loving devotion
I long for you

Signals cross
Vital pieces of communication lost
Fighting like enemies
We cannot speak without yelling
On old betrayals, we dwell in

I wish we could weather the storms
But as the winds of hatred blow stronger
Whipping up rogue waves and storm surges
Swept away - sailing out of control
We don't even respect each other anymore

Trust eroded
Slowly, over time
Duly noted
Still, I long for you
