holding back the tears
eyes
Simply Red
terms and conditions
of use
unread
although i knew
there was no lifetime guarantee
the thought of losing you
fills me …
i miss
bumping into you
on purpose
your
contagious laugh
ready look
ad-lib robotic
80s dance moves
during meal prep
the lingering scent
of
Montblanc Legend
after your
long-lasting
bear hugging
embrace
me
melting into
you
i miss
holding hands
spending
stopped time
my head
on your shoulder
my face
in your neck
inhaling you
not paying attention to
any one thing else
i miss
you
encouraging me
supporting me
listening to me
vent
when i’m bent
you were good to me
and i …
didn’t know
how to
be
good too
and now
the thought of losing you
fills me … with
dread

That sense of dread in the end… that fear I do remember.
As the “pub tender” at dVerse for this prompt, am looking quickly before I retire tonight at newest poems posted. Unfortunately, you’ve not tagged dVerse or mentioned that you’re posting this to dVerse so others can learn about our website with prompts every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. As I said in the prompt for today….at the bottom where it says “New to dVerse” and then give instructions on how to post, I mention that we require writers tag of mention dVerse with a link….
I’m so happy to see you joining us here at dVerse …. however, as mentioned on the dVerse page for OLN, if folks do not tag or give reference to dVerse, I will have to delete their prompts from Mr. Linky. Might you please add a mention or tag to dVerse so I can keep your poem up? Will check back in morning and surely hope you do add the tag as it makes a wonderful addition to our poems for OLN.
oh! I forgot! Thank you Lillian!
