Severing
The stranglehold you have on me
Never again. No more to be
Although not impervious to your disparaging
Steadily, my life I'm cherishing
Still not where I wish to be
But no longer floundering
In the murky depths of your toxicity
More durable than I ever realized
And now, a life without you is the ultimate prize
