… That’s Mia waking from a nap or getting ready to nap.
Pixelated! That’s my new swear word!
When I grow up, I’m gonna be a wet waterboarding blanket! If anyone tells me something I don’t want to hear, even if it is true, I will suffocate them. And while they are being smothered, they will also be wet and cold.
This post has been sitting around for more than a week. I was reluctant to publish because I kept writing poems and wanted to include an updated list. Then I went to Detroit, a trip long recommended by Sharon. I loved it – I have a few more pics to post from that trip and Cuba. I’m going again and want to take my adult children.
Detroit is a beautiful urban decay photography mecca but our focus on that trip was African American History.
Earlier this week, I decided to group my poems differently, that way I don’t have to look at as many singles. I feel like I told you this already. I have to check the Spenserian and Petrarchan sonnets to ensure they are accurate. I might clump them because the first octet/octave is the same, but I don’t know if that Spenser guy was Italian. Anyway, they’re dead, they don’t care. Here’s the new list:

I am also looking for ways to optimize my website without having to upgrade my WordPress plan so I can use plugins that will make my life easy – I hate the look of low-quality images but … heavy sigh – I will have to change several to improve first paint. ! I’m using GTMetrix to help identify images that take long to load. GT is easier to use than Google’s Lighthouse and so far it’s free.
Thanks for nothing WordPress you shit bag!
I will upgrade eventually because I don’t see this part of my life ending and soon I will need more storage space. Site and SEO are my life. Although my shit’s so random, I have yet to figure out how to apply this randomness to SEO – I would essentially have to change how I write or do topic posts, like the dating in Toronto ones – no one searches Google for “Random Shit.” (what my site is optimized for). I know, cause I checked a keyword app.
And I learned a new term today:
“First Paint” (FP) is a key performance metric that measures the time it takes for the browser to render the first pixel on the screen after a user navigates to your page. This metric is crucial because it gives an initial indication of how quickly content begins to appear to users, impacting their perception of your site’s speed and responsiveness.
Explanation from CGPT4o
There’s a buncha shit that needs fixing in my apartment and the Super is taking their sweet time. The other day Dee recaulked the shower – a talent I didn’t know she had. Thank you, baby!
Do you remember when I thought my loaches died? Well, they’ve returned from their travels – two out of three at least. I downsized my tank, from 65 gallons to 20. This feels better and I like bottom feeders, they’re fun to watch, and they live longer – I get more fish for my money. Because I work hard so my fish better treat me right.
Question(s) of the Day:
“Anti-Semitic Jew.” Epic Oxymoron
Are Jewish people who support Palestine anti-Semitic?
And also, why does fat chance mean something is unlikely to happen?
How’s life? I hope you are not honking at anyone to get out the fast lane. You might want to slow down instead.
And finally, I know who the next tyrant is going to be. Yea!
