… sometimes you have to take the journey alone yes! Cause Jesus don’t do snow!

Tomorrow evening, I have dinner plans with Sharon and a bunch of other ladies I’ve known for at least thirty years. Neat! I can go for dinner with these guys, do work events, and play games with my writing buddies without too much of an issue. I don’t usually cancel on them.

Updates:

  • My latest short does not involve a traditional hero’s journey – I can see the entire story – just gotta write it down and hopefully, I’ll finish this one, unlike The Troll and The Ballerina.
  • Have my open mic locations/dates – I just gotta go. Go. Go. Gadget Sam! 🙁 (I must do this because I am afraid!)
    • I do a lot more in my head than I do in real life. I gotta get outta my head, but that’s where all the good stories come from. 🙂
    • If you could get in my head, you wouldn’t want to leave either – for all the right reasons!
  • Earlier this week I didn’t speak up during a meeting, and someone said the exact thing I was thinking of saying, not in the same way – of course, no one is going to believe me after the fact because he’s a doctor and I’m just a project manager – however, I do feel good that my head was in the right place with the grown folk – I’m made for strategy yo!
    • Why didn’t I speak up? The million-dollar question. Ultimately, I believe it’s because I was afraid of being wrong – I could also chalk it up to overthinking, but the latter (that’s the first one right?) is more accurate. What’s the worst that can happen if I’m wrong? I guess on that day, I didn’t want to find out!
    • If I think about all the things I’ve not said because I was terrified, it makes no sense – look at all the crazy shit I say to you! I must get over this fear and, I think getting on stage in front of strangers will work wonders, or I’ll become a hikikomori. Either way, I will change and, change is good!
  • I’m reading 101 Essays that Will Change the Way You Think by Brianna Wiest
  • I haven’t played any Switch games in months.
  • Still struggling to finish these damn PMI modules – they’re just boring – except the financial one
  • Matt’s drawing is getting better – I’m gonna have to get my butt in gear, or my drawing arm rather, so he doesn’t surpass me. However, I don’t understand why he has to draw on my post-it notes.

The boy supposed to be working on his philosophy essay

Name That Tyrant No. … Whatever

It’s becoming harder and harder and more very difficult for me to find childhood info on these guys. I will have to change the game a bit. Maybe I tell you what the prizes are, or make up a story based on the bit of history I can find – don’t yet know, but I like this game, not ready to stop playing.

I prefer the idea of making up crazy prizes, but I also like storytelling – maybe I do both.

Stay tuned for more tyrants and dive bar poetry with Shamus.

I hope you don’t ever have to sleep outside in the cold! Unless you want to!
