Law Abiding Criminal

… Isn’t she beautiful!

Listen! This Monday, Wednesday, Friday thing ain’t working for me. Sometimes, I don’t want to talk – maybe because I feel there’s nothing to say or because I might be lazy. My feelings come and go as they please, having nothing to do with you! Or me, for that matter!

I downloaded Hinge, but I didn’t create my profile yet.

There’s a photographer on Unsplash with all these beautiful images of a Black woman – I believe it’s the same person, but I always get faces wrong.

When I grow up …

I’m will be an AI Facial Recognition Program

Dee subscribed to this product sample kit and got the first package on Friday. She hands me this thing and says, “You wanna try!? It’s lip gloss.”

“Sure!” I grabbed it and headed to the change room. As I remove the plastic, I’m looking at the colour and wondering if it will look good on me – it’s this pinkish, purplish shimmery thing. After I apply it, my lips start to tingle.

When I get to the living room to show off, my lips are burning.

Dee sees me and starts shaking her head, “I don’t like it.”

“It feels like I applied a corrosive substance to my lips.”

“Go wipe it off.”

“Maybe it’s plumping my lips or something.?”

“Go! It’s not supposed to burn!”

I come back outside, and she’s laughing.

“What!”

“Sorry! It’s liquid eyeshadow.”

I am happy the statue of Jesus wearing a Pride flag is complete. It took forever and it’s still not what I imagined (don’t have the skills yet. You’ll likely see another version in the future – or I may collect a bunch of Angels and Jesus statues to modify similarly. And surprise, surprise, in working on the picture, the poem came to me.

FYI: I get to see how accepting, self-proclaimed, open-minded people really are when I put certain things together.
