When I say, "I love you!" It's true
I'm in that state of mind — adrift
This quick shift is often a gift
Hiding isn't something I do

When I say, "I love you!" It's true
I'm in that state of mind — adrift
My impulsiveness is a clue
Illusions of love can be swift
Emotional. You catch my drift
Confide — the certainty of two
When I say, "I love you!" It's true
