Sick with influenza 
Lying on this credenza
(so uncomfortable)

Looking for more words
        that rhyme with influenza 
        settling for… resistenza
        (which makes sense-enza)

Then I wondered

If I were sick as a dog
        does that mean I have dog flu

If I got bird flu, would I be able to fly
        dropping turds on heads as I pass by
        (for good luck)

Influenza A has ruined my third day
(sorta but not really eh)

I can’t stay away from writing for too long, even when sick.

FYI: Felt for sure the need to add line 7 this morning, Sat Aug 8 – I must be getting betterenza.
